Who We Are - Southpaw Fishing Rod Holders

Southpaw rod holders were designed by Gary Anderson of Green Bay, Wisconsin. As the owner of a custom machine shop, he took his downtime to develop Southpaw rod holders.

“I have been great lake fishing all my life, and I have struggled to find a rod holder that would ensure I was able to reel in the biggest fish.” – Gary, Southpaw Founder & Owner

Through trial and error for over five years, Gary worked on different ideas to develop a more sturdy and reliable rod holder. Anderson doesn’t only use the rod holders but created them with the mind of a life-long fisherman.

Gary and his wife Amy reside in Denmark, WI with their two sons and can be found fishing on Lake Michigan on any spare moment.

"We've used multiple makes and styles of rod holders, we switched to Southpaw rod holders four years ago and will never put another manufacturer's rod holder on our boat again. Whether we're trolling or just using them to hold our pan fishing rods, these holders work for everything. Top-of-the-line quality, easy to operate, and adds a professional appearance to your boat."
